The Mava 7mm Neoprene Sleeve is a great sleeve for squatting. It provides all the support you can expect from a 7mm neoprene sleeve. It's anatomically formed and fits tightly, does not slip. You can wear it both under or above your training pants. The sleeve comes as a pair.
Sometimes the sleeve bunches up in the back, and the seam in the back can irritate the skin if you have it on for too long.

The sleeve is between 8 and 12 inches in length. The thickness is 7mm so it's best for squatting. There's no 5mm version.
The sleeve was designed for heavy squatting and crossfit. It has only a 7mm version, which is just a bit too thick for the dynamism of crossfit. For an 5 mm sleeve you may want to check the Primal Elite or the Bear KompleX sleeves.
For everyday wearing and other sports (basketball, running, zumba, cardio) the Mava Sports Knee Support Sleeves is more suited. Still some people use this sleeve for running with great success.
The sleeves take the load off your knees when squatting, so you'll be able to squat with more weight while feeling less pain.
The product works great if you had a previous knee injury and would like to improve your squat performance.
The sleeve also helps with ACL or MCL tear or meniscus strain.
You can expect shorter recovery times if you squat with these sleeves on.
The sleeve comes as pair, there's no left or right one, so you can wear any sleeve on any leg. The sleeves rarely slip as they fit anatomically and are very tight.
You can wear this sleeve under or above your training pants. If you wear it under your pants it will not be visible unless pants are tight.
The sleeve has a sewing at the middle of it's back side. If you wear it for a long time this could irritate your skin. Wearing it above your pants could help with this issue.
The sleeve tends to bunch up in the back which is a minus.
The product is available in black, blue, red and gray colors so you'll probably find one that matches your outfit. If you still want more colors you may want to check the Primal Elite or the Bear KompleX sleeves too.
You can wash the sleeve in the washing machine using a light cycle, or you can hand wash it. Just make sure you let it dry by itself. Never use drying machine and never twist it.
Made of neoprene so it will have some neoprene odor initially. The sleeve does not contain latex, so you will have no allergic reaction from this sleeve. The product was designed for squatting and cross-fit so there is no metal in it, and it has no lateral support.
The weight of the sleeve is about 6 ounces per piece so it's a bit heavy, but that's expected for a sleeve this thick.
While the product is double stitched, it did wear out early for some.
The sewing at the middle of the back side could irritate your skin. The sleeve gives in earlier than expected for some. The sleeve tends to fold behind the knee.
Overall this is a good sleeve, but the bunching up and the backside seam make it inferior. It's a great idea to check other sleeves too, the Bear KompleX and the Primal Elite sleeves are at least as good.
Make sure you do not confuse this sleeve with the Mava sleeve designed for lighter sports.
